On Wednesday, 13th of November, Titania, the producer of security and compliance software, won a highly-commended nomination, for Security Innovation of the Year, at the UK IT Awards. Held for 13 years consecutively, the awards have evolved from the successful techMARK distinction, sponsored by PwC, and were set up to “recognise the professionalism and innovation that exists in IT”, according to David Clarke, MBE, Group Chief Executive Office at BCS.
This year’s awards featured 25 categories covering project, organisation, technology and individual excellence. Titania participated in the Technology Excellence category against some well-established names in the industry such as RandomStorm, iStorage or BT, and the highly-commended appointment came as a great honour. Ever since its inception, in 2010, Titania has understood the importance of innovation in technology and as a result the company has gained a prolific client base in over 45 countries worldwide and numerous awards for its best-selling product, Nipper Studio.
The event was hosted by Jimmy Carr at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London and the photos subsequently published by Computing Magazine show that everyone enjoyed the evening.
Stuart Summer, Editor of Computing commented: “Well done to the winners and those who were highly-commended on their achievements. The UK IT Industry Awards are rigorously judged and truly celebrate innovation and best practice in IT today”. The list of winners and highly-commended can be found on the BCS website.
